Meet Dr. Kasden
A board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), Dr. Scott E. Kasden focuses on serving patients in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Greater Metroplex areas with honesty and integrity. Dr. Kasden understands that plastic surgery is a want, not a need, so he and his staff take the time to educate patients on their options. He is committed to ensuring his patients have realistic expectations and that all of their questions are answered. Dr. Kasden's first concern is the safety of the patient as well as the success of the procedure. Dr. Kasden and his office staff work hard so that his patients are comfortable and enjoy their experience. With many years of training and experience,
Dr. Kasden performs many cosmetic and aesthetic surgery procedures designed to help his patients look more attractive and feel more confident. Since 1999, Dr. Kasden has focused his reconstructive efforts on cosmetic rehabilitation of massive weight loss patients (designed as a weight loss of greater than 50 pounds). The Massive Weight Loss (MWL) patient population has very specialized needs, and Dr. Kasden enjoys the challenges of these procedures and the medical management.
Since 1993 Dr. Kasden has enjoyed the technical aspects of plastic surgery, however it is the honor and responsibility, and relationship with his patients that he enjoys most.
Specialties and Skills
Dr. Kasden is known for performing breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, tummy tucks, and cosmetic rehabilitation for patients after massive weight loss. Dr. Kasden has been performing after weight loss surgery to help patients following significant weight loss (both through natural methods and bariatric surgery) since 1999, which gives him more experience than many of his peers in body contouring. Dr. Kasden also performs many nonsurgical cosmetic procedures including injectable wrinkle treatments with dermal fillers and BOTOX, plus the repair of torn and stretched earlobes. Some of his most recent awards include the RealSelf 500 Award for his commitment to consumer education and the Best of Southlake award in the physicians and surgeons category from the U.S. Local Business Association.
Education and Training
Dr. Kasden earned both an undergraduate and master's degree in zoology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) general surgery residency program at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh and then a plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo.
