Meet Dr. Kasden
A board-certified plastic surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), Dr. Scott E. Kasden focuses on serving patients in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Greater Metroplex areas with honesty and integrity. Dr. Kasden understands that plastic surgery is a want, not a need, so he and his staff take the time to educate patients on their options. He is committed to ensuring his patients have realistic expectations and that all of their questions are answered. Dr. Kasden's first concern is the safety of the patient as well as the success of the procedure. Dr. Kasden and his office staff work hard so that his patients are comfortable and enjoy their experience. With many years of training and experience,
Dr. Kasden performs many cosmetic and aesthetic surgery procedures designed to help his patients look more attractive and feel more confident. Since 1999, Dr. Kasden has focused his reconstructive efforts on cosmetic rehabilitation of massive weight loss patients (designed as a weight loss of greater than 50 pounds). The Massive Weight Loss (MWL) patient population has very specialized needs, and Dr. Kasden enjoys the challenges of these procedures and the medical management.
Since 1993 Dr. Kasden has enjoyed the technical aspects of plastic surgery, however it is the honor and responsibility, and relationship with his patients that he enjoys most.
Specialties and Skills
Dr. Kasden is known for performing breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, tummy tucks, and cosmetic rehabilitation for patients after massive weight loss. Dr. Kasden has been performing after weight loss surgery to help patients following significant weight loss (both through natural methods and bariatric surgery) since 1999, which gives him more experience than many of his peers in body contouring. Dr. Kasden also performs many nonsurgical cosmetic procedures including injectable wrinkle treatments with dermal fillers and BOTOX, plus the repair of torn and stretched earlobes. Some of his most recent awards include the RealSelf 500 Award for his commitment to consumer education and the Best of Southlake award in the physicians and surgeons category from the U.S. Local Business Association.
Education and Training
Dr. Kasden earned both an undergraduate and master's degree in zoology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He then earned his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. After this, Dr. Kasden went on to complete a rigorous five-year A.C.G.M.E. (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) general surgery residency program at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh and then a plastic surgery residency at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. "I had a breast lift done in January by Dr. Kasden and couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. I can't believe what a difference this has made in how my body looks !! He goes above and beyond for his patients and never leaves a question or concern unanswered. I definitely recommend him to all my family, friends, and clients!!!!!!!"
"I hope my previous review still shows. I just want to say that it's been almost 2 years since my saline breast implants surgery. In a little over 3 months it will be 2 years since my breast explantation (having implants removed). Wonderful news (Dr. Kasden knew), less than a month after breast explantation, I found out I was pregnant. We didn't find out the gender of this baby (Baby #3), we kept it a surprise until birth. I worried about breastfeeding and the health of the baby since I went through two major surgeries within less than a year of due date. My second son, he's a boy was born in March and is very healthy. He's almost 1 years old and I'm still breastfeeding. Everything works just fine and I feel great. I want to let everyone know that it takes time to heal, it takes time for your body to heal. For me, it felt awkward throughout my pregnancy and even when I first started breastfeeding. I just would wonder sometimes, 'is everything ok?' Keep praying and stay in the WORD and you will make it and be just fine. I'm happy that I healed well and I'm doing fine and I've been blessed with another child. I hope all is going well Dr. Kasden, Take Care and God Bless!"
"I had a very good experience with Dr. Kasden. We fully discussed the potential gotchas. I felt comfortable throughout the entire process, and I'm very satisfied with my results. I would definitely recommend friends to him."
"Dr. Kasden is truly the best with patients that have had bariatric surgery. I am so looking forward with working with Dr.Kasden and his staff."
"I absolutely love Dr. Kasden! I went to another PS and felt rushed when asking my questions. Dr. Kasden took his time to answer my questions throughly. He let me know to write down any additional questions I have and that I could email him. He was truthful with his answers. He let me know that there would be a lot of pain and that this isn't something I have to do. He never tried to suggest adding another procedure, which I liked. Dr. Kasden joked around with me as well which I appreciated. Beth is another beautiful soul. I love my results and I'm so happy. One thing that I really liked is that Dr. Kasden did a little bit of Lipo at no extra cost. If anyone as any questions feel free to ask or even watch my YouTube channel SimplyRae90"
