IDEAL CANDIDATES
Dr. Kasden will perform a physical exam of your hair and scalp to determine the cause of your hair loss before discussing treatment options like LLLT. He often recommends LLLT treatments to both male and female patients who have mild to moderate hair loss. During your consultation, Dr. Kasden will discuss how often you should schedule treatments and realistic expectations.
PROCEDURE TECHNIQUE
Once Dr. Kasden creates your personal treatment plan with LLLT, you can schedule your appointments at our office. Most patients will need to schedule 1 – 2 appointments each week for three months to see optimal results. The treatment takes about 20 minutes, during which you can read or relax as the laser stimulates dormant and weak hair follicles. You will need to be patient and consistent in your use of the LLLT device since results may not be visible for about 4 – 6 months.
WHAT TO EXPECT
During each visit, Dr. Kasden will assess your progress and decide if your treatment plan needs to be altered. Once your hair restoration goals are reached, you may want to schedule LLLT treatments occasionally to maintain your results.
