Facial beauty enhanced with Lipotherme
This is a 52 year old white female From Grapevine, Texas who was unhappy with her lower jaw (jowls), and obtuse neckline. The Patient wanted her jaw and neck lines “cleaned up” but did not want a face lift. On exam, the patient had good skin elasticity with a moderately thick neck fat pad. Beneath the fat pad, vertical (platysma) muscle bands are visualized. These muscle bands contribute to the obtuse neckline (best seen in the oblique and lateral views). Post-operatively, the jawline is very clearly defined while the neck contour is much better defined. The overall result is that the face is framed apart from the neck, and the patient’s beauty is enhanced. Although liposuction alone isn’t the most “powerful” cosmetic procedure in this instance, the patient achieved a result that she loves while avoiding a procedure she was not ready to accept. Procedure: Lipotherme of neck under mild sedation and using the tumescent technique in my Southlake, Tx, office. Amount of fat removed: 175 cc’s Time post-op: 4 months.More
