Bottomed out and Contracted
42 year old white female from Lewisville, Tx who previously had breast augmentation years ago. She was unhappy with the appearance of the breasts because the implants had "dropped" and migrated laterally. As a result of the "bottoming out" the lower pole of the breast was full, the upper pole was hollow which created an unusual appearance (especially on quarter and lateral views). The patient also had palpable and visible ripples (especially on quarter and side views) with a distorted appearance and upward pointing nipples. The patient had overly exuberant scar tissue creating a hard breast with discomfort (capsular contracture).More
