Body Contouring for a Sculpted look
Abdominoplasty Front View
The front view reveals correction of a "roll" above the navel and a second roll above the pubic area. The muscles and skin were tightened and sculpted. Note also that the hour-glass figure is restored. Post-op photos taken at 3 months. Note that any identifying marks have been edited for privacy. More
Abdominoplasty Quarter View
The quarter view better shows the sculpting that was accomplished. The abdomen is not "flat", but rather has a gentle feminine "S" shape to it. The hour-glass is well defined, and the improvement extends to the back. More
Abdominoplasty Side View
The side view again shows the contouring as noted above, but it also shows that the gluteal (buttocks) gained a slight lift and the skin is tighter too. More
Abdominoplasty Posterior View
The posterior view reveals that the lower back rolls have been eliminated while the upper back rolls have been greatly improved. The buttocks has been somewhat elevated and tightened. The hips and thighs were addressed in a separate procedure. More
This patient had a moderately thick fat pad in addition to excess skin and stretched supporting structures. Additionally, even though she has never been pregnant, she had a wide diastasis recti (separation and stretching of the abdominal muscles).
Approximately 10 lbs of skin and fat were removed and approximately 650 cc's of fat were aspirated from the flanks and back.
The abdominal wall muscles were tightened so as to correct the laxity in three dimensions, and the wound was closed carefully in three layers.
The procedure was well tolerated and there were no complications. The patient healed uneventfully and was very pleased with her result.
