Procedure Details

This 34-year-old white female from Saginaw, TX was mildly overweight but her arms were disproportionately large compared to her frame. The patient was self-conscious about the appearance of her "bat wings", and had trouble finding shirts/garments that fit her properly- Garments that fit her arms were too large for her torso, and garments that fit her torso were too tight for her arms to fit.

Summary of Brachioplasty

The brachioplasty plan was to remove and tighten skin and underlying strength layers (fascias) in the axial (armpit to elbow) as well as the transverse dimensions to achieve an aesthetic upper arm. The excess fat was addressed with supplemental liposuction.

The procedure was carried out under general anesthesia in Fort Worth, TX. A "full" brachioplasty was needed to correct all of the issuses concerning the patient.  Power assisted liposuction (PAL) was used prior to and again after the skin excision to achieve a sculpted appearance.

The patient is approximately 4 months post op and very happy.
